ARCHAEOLOGICAL POTENTIAL MODEL FOR THE FORT ST JAMES FOREST DISTRICT

Each shapefile was derived from the high and moderate potential grids that had a cell size of 30 meters.  
The GRID_CODE contains 1 for high potential and 2 for moderate potential.  The low potential areas are the 
remaining areas within the district not covered by the high and moderate potential, therefore a shapefile for this was not created.  


All the shapefiles are in Universal Traverse Mercator, NAD83 Zone 10 projection.  
Even though the district is divided into 2 UTM zones, 9 and 10, the model was performed using only one zone.  

Due to the size of the original grid the district was broken down into 6 sections which followed BCGS Grid boundaries.
