Mule Deer

Section 7 (c) of the Forest Planning and Practices Regulation states the objective set by government for wildlife is, without unduly reducing the supply of timber from British Columbia’s forests, to conserve a sufficient amount and distribution of areas that provide necessary wildlife habitat for the winter survival of specified ungulate species.

The Cariboo-Chilcotin Land-Use Plan 90 Day Report specifies that winter habitat be maintained to support the regional population of Mule Deer. See pages 154 and 155 of the report for more information.

See section 5 of the Schedule under the Forest Planning and Practices Regulation for factors relating to land use objectives.
