INVOCATION
==========
- The easiest way to invoke the VRIMS ArcMap extensions is to double-click the "%USERPROFILE%\%APPDATA%\ESRI\ArcMap\Templates\VegCap-II-for-Contractors.mxd" file. This will start ArcMap, as well as open the VRIMS template. This template will put a "VRIMS" menu on the menubar.

- Otherwise, start ArcMap by clicking Start > All Programs > ArcGIS > ArcMap 10.1
When prompted by the application, select open an existing template and browse to the "%USERPROFILE%\%APPDATA%\ESRI\ArcMap\Templates\VegCap-II-for-Contractors.mxd" file.

OPERATION AND TROUBLESHOOTING
=============================

VegCap Profiles - Depending on the system environment, it may be that you as a User, do not have Write permission into the [profiles] directory when running ArcMap 10.1. To find out if this is the case, when you try to save a Profile in the VegCap GUI, you will get an ArcMap write error message.

To fix, there are two possible solutions:

1. Run ArcMap 10.1 as an Administrator
	- Right click on the ArcMap 10.1 application icon and select [Run as administrator];

OR

2. Alter the permissions of the [profiles] sub-directory to allow normal users Write access.

	- Right click on the [profiles] directory and select [Properties],
	- select the [security] tab,
	- select [Edit],
	- select [Users],
	- Toggle the [Write] toggle to Selected under Allow,
	- Select [Apply],
	- Select [Ok]
	- Select [Ok] again.
