CONTACT: Doug.Layden@gov.bc.ca 250-356-0694 1. It’s only a snapshot in time and the source Consolidated_THLB.gdb is updated every time a timber supply analysis is completed for a TSA. 2. The data is only for TSAs as we do not have the THLB for TFLs. THLB within a TFL in this dataset is either coded with a THLB_FACT of zero or NULL. 3. Often the Crown Forest Land Base Factor (CFLB_FACT) is not populated. So a factor of zero does not necessarily mean it’s not Crown forest. 4. We don’t have THLB for Cascadia TSA because an analysis for the unit has not been done yet. 5. The data is designed to be used TSA by TSA and there is a possibility of overlaps between TSAs. Also there are overlaps within some TSAs which could lead to an overestimate in the THLB. I don’t know how significant the issue is.
