Generally:
Channel filled with sediment of all sizes (coarse layer at surface of channel). Channel bed approximately as high as surrounding banks. Flow consists of rapids between largest stones and sediment accumulations. Flow is often in branches of braided pattern. No moss-covered sediment; bed is regularly reworked. |
