Generally:
Stone lines are intact, and flow tumbles over the step. Pools beginning to fill with finer-textured sediment (small boulders and cobbles). Pools are about 50% of the channel extent; flow is rapid through pool (even during low flow conditions) because of reduced depth. Tops of large boulders covered in moss (sides and base not covered). LWD is insignificant. |
