Step-pool morphology exists but is less distinct because pool extent is greatly reduced by sediment accumulation. Stream flow alternates between rapid chutes and occasional slow-moving pools. Large sediment wedges are present, but not dominant; associated with log jams or large root wads. Very little, if any, moss covering on bed sediments. |
