Channel complexity reduced by continuous down-cutting of riffle surface. Bed uniformly coarser. Pools represent approximately one-quarter of the channel length and are uniformly shallow, rarely exceeding one-half metre in depth. Channel bed has exposed bedrock over significant lengths of the reach. |
