Abstract:

This data layer was created by integrating the biogeoclimatic zone, subzone, and variant mapping data (version 12) with glaciers, lakes, and rivers data layers and by clipping to the provincial boundary and coastlines. More information on the biogeoclimatic zone, subzone, and variant mapping is available from BEC WEB

Purpose:
This data layer is mainly used to extract and summarize the areas of landcover (water, ice, and land) for each biogeoclimatic unit. It is not recommended for spatial analysis because it is not in a clean format.
