The 27th Annual BC Forest Service Provincial Golf Tournament

The Cariboo Forest Region is hosting the 27th Annual BCFS Provincial Golf Tournament Saturday and Sunday, September 11 and 12, 1999 at the Williams Lake Golf and Country Club. The tournament provides an excellent opportunity for BCFS staff, retirees and their families to get together and have fun regardless of their golf skill level.

Tee times will start at 8:00 am both days with a shot-gun start for Sunday, September 12, 1999. Participants will have the option of entering in the regular Handicap system or the Calloway Handicap system (see registration form for details). The organizing committee is planning some additional golf and non-golf related events again this year which are sure to add to the overall enjoyment of the weekend. Last year there was a very good turn out including many new faces.

The cost including the banquet (with an enhanced menu this year), green fees, and prizes is: $80 for two rounds of 18 holes, if paid before August 20, 1999, and $90 after that date; $65 for two rounds of nine holes, if paid before August 20, 1999, and $70 after that date. Extra banquet tickets are $16.00 each.

Registration packages will be arriving in FS offices in early August. To facilitate planning, participants are asked to register as soon as possible. Registration is open to employees (past and present); retirees; and spouses, sons, daughters and guests of employees (see registration form for details). If you are interested in entering junior golfers under 19 and/ or for further information, please contact Terry Satrum at the Cariboo Forest Region (250) 398-4345.

The provincial BCFS golf tournament has been a Cariboo Classic for 26 years. Join in the fun this year and register early.
