importance of the alders nitrogen-fixing properties to Dr. Noriyuki Kobayashi,
General Manager of Environmental Research and Development, Sumitomo Forestry Co. Ltd. and
Dr. Masahiro Iwaoka from the University of Tokyo, participants in a recent Japanese tour

sign to place in front of the tree and hope to visit in a few years time to check on
its progress.
